After six months of competitions all over the Russian territory, Olga Melik-Karokozona beat out  150 competitors to become the winner of Russian Barista Championship at the national competition for baristas, held last March 17 to 19 in Moscow

The Russian Coffee Marathon was combined with other important events that were held in March in both Moscow and St. Petersburg such as the European Team Coffee Challenge, the Russian Latte Art Championship, the Russian Cezve/Ibrik Championship and the Russian Coffee in Good Spirits Championship Cuptasting 

Nuova Simonelli participated in the finals of Russian Championship with its Aurelia Competizione the espresso coffee machines as the official technical sponsor of WBC, and also with the technical support of Nuova Simonelli’s managers, who attended throughout the three days of competition.

Now all eyes are focused on the World Barista Championship that will be held next June 2-5 in Bogota, Colombia. Olga Melik Karokozona will be one of the national barista champions from all over the world who will try to win the title of World Barista Champion won last year in London by Michael Phillips.
