Hong Kong
The third edition of Hong Kong International Tea Fair (HKITF) is being organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Chinese Tea Culture International Exchange Association. In 2010, over 300 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions came in contact with over 10,000 trade buyers from 59 countries and regions. In addition, over 83,000 members of the public came to the open day, providing a meaningful opportunity to boost brand recognition and test-market new products.
The fair covers many aspects of the industry in its exhibits. These include tea and processed tea and tea products, as well as tea packaging, tea processing equipment and testing services, tea ware and tea craft. Associated with the fair will be programs aimed at infusing a tea lifestyle, such as forums, tea gallery and tea ceremony demonstration. HKTDC Food Expo 2011 and the International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products 2011 will be held concurrently. The fair will be open to trade visitors only on August 11-12 and to the public on August 13-15.
To encourage visitors to come experience the fair in person, HKDTC is to offer first-time visitors a hotel sponsorship package at selected hotels in Hong Kong during the fair. For more information, visit www.hkteafair.com
